The KPP400 is an excavator-mounted all-in-one pipe puller that can easily move around any job site. It is ideal for replacing water and gas service laterals.
Pipe Puller Compatibility Guidelines
The Pipe Puller is designed to operate under pressures of up to 3000 PSI and a flow rate of 90 li/m. For optimal performance, we recommend using a 35- to 50-size tracked mini excavator, such as a John Deere, Bobcat, or CAT.
Using Larger Equipment: While larger excavators can be used, they may require specific adjustments. To ensure compatibility and safe operation, please get in touch with us for a detailed assessment of your requirements.
Backhoe Compatibility: Backhoes are generally not recommended due to the reduced versatility, higher pressure outputs, and, in some cases, the lack of reverse flow in their auxiliary systems.
Hydraulic Connector Considerations: Hydraulic connectors may differ for equipment larger than the recommended size. The Pipe Puller is equipped with ¾ quick hydraulic connectors, which may not directly match the connectors on larger machines. Additional adapters or modifications may be necessary.

- Replace with new copper or plastic pipe up to 1.5″ (36mm) ID in a single pull
- Ideal for road crossings, private side pipe replacements, and replacements with other utilities in close proximity

Everything You Need to Get the Job Done
The Kobus Pipe Puller 400 mounts on most 35/50 mini excavators, such as John Deere, Bobcat, and CAT. Driven from the excavator’s auxiliary hydraulics, the Puller generates up to 45,000lb (20tn), of pulling force. The bottom foot section rotates to allow the excavator to be positioned optimally for the best access.
