Kobus & Infra Elite sign distributor agreement

KPP400 Kobus Pipe Puller in Netherlands

Kobus Services Ltd is delighted to announce that it has signed a agreement with Dutch company Infra Elite BV, part of the Van Voskuilen BV group, to be our exclusive distributor of Kobus products in the Netherlands.

The agreement, signed on 31st January – yes, Brexit Day – followed very successful trials carried out on a number of live sites during December with Van Voskuilen.

The Dutch government has an ambitious strategy to replace all of the Dutch natural gas supplies to residential properties with alternative, low carbon, energy sources by 2050.  This energy transition plan, driven by the demands of climate change, will result in millions of existing steel and PE gas service pipes having to be removed from underground as the transition to new energy sources progresses.

The Kobus Pipe Puller KPP400 will be ideal for this application compared to the expensive open cut methods currently being employed.  The Pipe Puller is less disruptive, faster, more economical, and safer.  Significantly, services can be removed from inside properties with minimal disruption to the homeowner.  Infra Elite will be offering the Pipe Puller solution to energy companies, water companies and their contractors from February 2020.

Kobus Business Unit Director, Simon Drain, said “this is a significant step in Kobus’ expansion into mainland Europe and we are delighted to be partnering with Infra Elite & Van Voskuilen”.  He went on to say “both parties are very enthusiastic about the potential in the Netherlands, demonstrated by the commitment to make this  agreement happen”.

If there are other businesses in Europe interested in partnering Kobus as a distributor then get in touch.
