Style 88 Service Head Adapter

Dresser Style 88 couplings and fittings are handy, ready-to-use boltless connectors specially designed for use with copper tubing. Their use eliminates such operations as cutting and squaring of tubing ends, flaring, soldering and brazing. The Dresser gasket sealing principle assures an absolutely tight joint on every connection.

Each Style 88 coupling consists of a brass body, optional steel bodies are available as usage dictates; two rugged brass end nuts; and two resilient Armored® gaskets, which are protected against damage by gasket retainer cups. Gaskets are made of our exclusive Dresser rubber compound, with helical coil armors. Male adapters and service head adpaters are also available. All castings are 100% air-tested to assure a leak-proof seal.

When used at the curb cock…
The existing curb cock can be reused on copper service renewals by using one Dresser Style 88 male adapter on either side of the cock. Adapters are available for any of the various reductions required.
