No Dig Live 2022 in Peterborough was buzzing with good attendees during September. Among the exhibitors was Kobus Services. Kobus showed their range of unique Pipe Pullers – the KPP400 excavated mounted model and the KPP300 modular version. Interest was high from attendees keen to understand what this trenchless technology could do for them.
The Pipe Puller technology is designed to extract old gas and water service pipes. It tows in a new PE pipe in a single operation, saving time and cost.
Extracting the old decommissioned pipe removes the environmental waste and reduces utility congestion underground. Small excavations minimise damage to homeowners property and reduces expensive reinstatement. The risk of utility strikes is all but eliminated as the new pipe follows the same path as the old one as it is removed. Pipe Pulling can be used in most ground conditions, so question is, why wouldn’t you use it?
