Dresser Protective Product Coatings

Dresser proprietary coating systems offer unprecedented protection against corrosion, abrasion and aggressive atmospheric conditions often associated with unprotected metal components.  Factory-applied under rigidly controlled manufacturing and quality conditions Dresser coatings offer a combination of strength and durability while extending the life of the product.  Dresser coated products are performance-proven in chemical processing plants, pulp and paper mills, oil and gas production facilities, natural gas distribution systems, water, industrial and sewage treatment piping systems.

EPOXY 617

Grey fusion-bonded, heat-cured, thermoset epoxy powder. EPOXY 617 is an ID/OD thermoset fusion-bonded, grey epoxy coating applied on both the internal and external surfaces of our coupling products. As the standard for waterworks coupling products, Epoxy 617 thermoset coatings are also available to conform to AWWA C-213 specifications upon request. EPOXY 617 is also NSF61/372 approved on water service coupling products when incorporating Plain-Grade 27 Buna-S, Grade 42 Buna-N and EPDM sealing components.

ALCLAD 012

Grey fusion-bonded, heat-cured, thermoset epoxy powder. ALCLAD™ 012 is an OD-Only fusion-bonded, grey epoxy coating material and provides an excellent coating for use on components of cathodically protected distribution piping systems. Thermoset epoxy coatings conform to AWWA C-213 specifications. ALCLAD 012 is also used on water service coupling products when incorporating Plain Grade 42 Buna-N gaskets, plus Armored Grade 42 and Armored Grade 27 gasketing applications.

EPOXY 010

BLACK thermoset epoxy applied by electrophoretic deposition. AL-CLAD™ E-Coat 010 is a thermosetting, thin film epoxy coating material pigmented to a rich black color. The coating material is non-toxic, and bonds to a clean metal surface. It provides corrosion resistance during storage and shipment, and for some application areas it provides adequate protection as a finish coat.

Dresser RED-D

Spray-applied, water-based red primer. Dresser RED-D Shopcoat paint is composed of a waterborne finish, pigmented with red oxide. The mixed paint is rich red in color, non-toxic, dries quickly to the touch, and bonds securely to a clean metal surface. The Dresser Shopcoat provides corrosion protection during storage and shipment. It does not require removal before application of the following primers and finish coatings, because it is fully bonded to the clean metal surface and is compatible with the following coating systems when applied in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Dresser Shopcoat does not leach through finish paints.
